Worldless Wednesday {Flash}

One of my favorite type of birds,
the hummingbird,
in the summer
dart to a fro among our feeders and brilliant orange trumpet vine.
Their neon green bodies create flashes of pattern among the leaves.

Within a blink of the eye
they hover, drink, and in a flash are gone.

Take in the moment.

Savor the sweetness.

Spread your wings and explore.

Note to readers:
Today I'm joining several Wordless Wednesday blog hops.  Enjoy your visit.

Planet of the Insects

Today HS participated in an Insect Study merit badge clinic at Riverbend Park near Great Falls.  We left him to have fun with other Boy Scouts as they took hikes and examined leaves and rocks for some of the smallest of creatures...insects.

Not wanting to turn down a hike down a mysterious path, we set out on our own insect hunt that unmasked insects.  For the time we spent on the trail, we looked at God's world through a microscope.  What typically makes my skin crawl became  beautiful creatures as we took in the view of the insect world.
They make their own highways and byways.  They have their own houses and friendships.  They live out their own set of perils and hardships among the leaves and dirt.

Take a moment next time you are out and allow yourself to examine your world through a microscope.  You'll be amazed at what the view is like.

Wordless Wednesday {SURPRISE}

After nine months of planning and preparation,
the day of announcing a
big secret surprise to the kiddos had finally arrived!

Instead of getting in a car that morning and driving down to visit their grandparents at the beach,
we were ...

going to

DISNEY WORLD!
