One of the tastiest treats on the island is Hawaiian Shaved Ice. While exploring the North Shore we stopped at Matsumoto's Famous Shaved Ice store in historic Halaiwa. When HH brough our coconut shaved ice with evaporated milk poured on top (if you come to visit and we're not here, this is called a 'Snow Cap'), boy howdy, did LD's eyes light up. She adores the stuff. I'm not sure, but I think she is going to be addicted to sweets.
Our shaved ice was devoured within seconds. We would have saved you some, but that's just not possible when it is so delicious!
